Charity Benefit Raffle.

I've been interested for a while in doing this, and just haven't had the platform.
I'm interested in spearheading a campaign to benefit TWLOHA (To Write Love On Her Arms), which is an organization that helps benefit those struggling with depression, self-injury, addiction and suicide.
I feel it is a universal cause that everyone can relate to.
Here are some stats from their website:
"121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. (World Health Organization)
18 million of these cases are happening in the United States. (The National Institute of Mental Health)
Between 20% and 50% of children and teens struggling with depression have a family history of this struggle and the offspring of depressed parents are more than three times as likely to suffer from depression. (U.S. Surgeon General's Survey, 1999)
Depression often co-occurs with anxiety disorders and substance abuse, with 30% of teens with depression also developing a substance abuse problem. (NIMH)
2/3 of those suffering from depression never seek treatment.
Untreated depression is the number one cause of suicide, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among teenagers. (NIMH)"
The "God" thing gets thrown around a lot on their website. However, they are not a Christian organization:
"Q: Is TWLOHA a “Christian†organization?
A: No. Identifying something such as a band, store, venue or project as "Christian" often alienates those outside of the church/Christian culture, and we don't want to do that. TWLOHA aims to be inclusive and inviting. This is a project for all people regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, and religious beliefs. This is a project for broken people, and it is led by broken people."

I'd like to hold a raffle as a phase in fund raising for this organization. It would include players and myself donating Alacrity items and services to go into sort of a prize bank. There would be prizes handed out to a first, second, and third place winner.
Raffle tickets could be purchased via pay pal. They would go straight to a ChipIn or similar fund raising aide that is linked directly to TWLOHA. No one else would ever touch the money.
After a set amount of time is passed, virtual raffle tickets would be entered into a generator, then three winners selected.
The last time I suggested something similar, I was told there was already a fund raiser planned for Ala, and then Rob got into the accident and nothing ever happened.
I'd like the opportunity to do some good for this organization and for people in pain everywhere.

I support this totally! It could even be something alacrity participates in every now and then to raise funds/awareness for various charities that swap out with each raffle.

I always wondered what TWLOHA was.. I've seen the name thrown around a lot, but never really seen an explanation for it. I can't really support or not support this... I know I wouldn't donate money (my cause is my local animal shelter, so my spare funds go there), but I don't think it's a bad idea. So I guess... Half-support?
